Women make up nearly half of India’s higher education enrolment yet represent only about a third of the tech workforce.
At the same time, AI & ML roles rank among the fastest-growing jobs worldwide, and most employers expect AI to transform their businesses by 2030. In India, the AI talent pool is projected to roughly double to about 1.25 million by 2027—signaling strong demand for job-ready skills and inclusive pathways.
Edunet, in collaboration with Microsoft, SAP and LinkedIn, with support from the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, presents AI Careers for Women (AICW)—a national initiative turning ambition into AI-enabled careers through industry-aligned learning, mentorship, and real projects.
Two complementary tracks that take women from foundational AI skills to a global fellowship and industry exposure.
Women make up nearly half of India’s graduates but hold less than 30% of tech roles. Our program is changing that. Through hands-on training, mentorship, certifications and real-world projects we equip STEM and Non-STEM women students across select states to build careers in AI.
AI Careers for Women: LinkedIn Fellowship — supported by LinkedIn and Microsoft — is a nationwide program exclusively for Non-STEM women students and faculty. It bridges academia and industry through hands-on AI training, mentorship and real projects that turn learning into career momentum.
* The initiative creates inclusive, job-ready routes for women to participate, progress, and lead in India’s AI-driven economy.
A structured journey designed for women from any academic background.
